Dr. Matthew Mundy

DVM

Dr Matthew Mundy, the owner of Mundy Veterinary Services, is a passionate equine veterinarian, with a strong focus in equine dentistry and bovine medicine.

Dr Mundy got his start as a cattle rancher in the southern states of the USA, where he owned a large cattle operation. Cattle ownership pushed him to follow his dream of becoming a veterinarian. In 2014 he graduated from Mississippi State University and moved to Ontario, Canada. Dr Mundy spent his first 5 years here working at a large cattle clinic, working to expand their equine division.

In 2019, Dr Mundy decided to pursue a career working exclusively with equine veterinarian services and accepted a position at a large sport horse medicine practise in Western Canada, focusing on equine dentistry and lameness.

Dr Mundy later decided to open up his own practice and returned to Ontario, Canada, where Mundy Veterinary Services was born.

Emma Hynick, Office Administrator

Emma Hynick

Office Administrator

Emma grew up in Ireland where she balanced her time between her studies, working at the barn, competing in horse events and assisting at her local small animal practice. She brought this passion in a suitcase to Canada where she graduated from the Olds College Equine Science program. Since then, she has persued a career as a breeding assistant, and finding her forte as an equine veterinary assistant. In her spare time she spends time at the barn, travelling with family, hitting the trails on foot and on bike with the kids, as well as creating the next best thing on the BBQ with her husband!

Emma is the warm and familiar voice that greets callers when they reach our office. Her dedication to customer care and commitment to animals make her an invaluable part of our team. So, whether you're scheduling an appointment or seeking advice, rest assured that Emma’s friendly demeanor will guide you through every step of the way!

Krystle Allison, RVT/Clinic Manager

Krystle Allison

RVT/Clinic Manager

Krystle started her career in veterinary medicine in 2004 at a small animal emergency clinic in her hometown of Whitby, Ontario. Here she spent 8 years mentoring under numerous Veterinarians and Veterinary Technicians whilst attending the University of Guelph for a degree in Animal Biology, and Seneca College for a degree as a Veterinary Technician. In 2012 Krystle joined the amazing team at Linwood Veterinary Services where she started her career in Bovine Medicine. She made the decision to leave Linwood and continue her career with Mundy Veterinary Medicine in 2023, where she looks forward to continuing to grow with the practice.

In her spare time, she enjoys hunting and fishing and general outdoor activities. You will also see her attending various tradeshows volunteering her time with 2 other companies that represent different aspects of her passions from the outdoors to motorcycles. Her home life includes her 2 dogs (Dallas the Great Dane and Dodge the Walker Hound) on a peaceful Dairy farm just outside of Fergus.

Jenna Weaver, VT (Dentistry)

Jenna Weaver

VT (Dentistry)

Hello, My name is Jenna Weaver and I am a Veterinary Technician who has always wanted to work with and be around horses. I am originally from the north and work remotely for Mundy Veterinary Services as well as going on all the northern dental trips with Dr. Mundy as I am already located in the north.

I started my equine career in 2016 with just some riding lessons. Between getting myself experience and school I have worked my way up the ladder from there. Over the years of putting myself out there I have gained so much knowledge in veterinary medicine. I am very happy and proud to be working with Mundy Veterinary Services.

Kaitlyn Gingrich, Driver

Kaitlyn Gingrich

Driver

Kaitlyn Gingrich grew up outside of Dundalk ON, on her parents Custom Farming business. She would help out at the grain elevators in the summers.

Any spare moment she had was spent outside, likely playing with her beloved dog. They would spend hours hiking the Bruce trails close by, or paddleboarding on the lake.

Kaitlyn recently got married and is learning the ropes of animal farming with her husband, helping out with the lambs and calves. She will try to be friends with any animal that will let her!

She will be sure to pet your farm dog and spoil it with treats, as she drops off your deliveries!
